First Glimpse at the 2024 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival

Harley-Davidson, drawing upon its rich 121-year heritage, boasts a remarkable lineup of iconic models from its history. Among these, the 1949 Hydra-Glide stands out as a pivotal moment, introducing a hydraulic telescopic fork. Now, in 2024, commemorating its 75th anniversary, Harley-Davidson presents the limited-edition Hydra-Glide Revival.

Part of the esteemed Icons Motorcycle Collection, the Hydra-Glide Revival follows the footsteps of its predecessors, including the Electra Glide Revival, Low Rider El Diablo, and Electra Glide Highway King. With each model produced in small batches, ranging from 1,500 to 1,750 units, the Hydra-Glide Revival continues this tradition with a worldwide production limited to 1,750 bikes.

While the Hydra-Glide name hasn't seen frequent reincarnations, the original 1949 model pioneered hydraulic telescopic forks, revolutionizing Harley-Davidson's design ethos. The new Revival pays homage to this legacy, drawing inspiration from the 1956 Hydra-Glide with its distinctive paint scheme and stylized tank badges. Infused with retro touches, including period-inspired speedometer graphics and exclusive bar riser inserts, each bike bears a unique serial number, reminiscent of its vintage origins.

Adorning a Heritage Classic base, the Hydra-Glide Revival exudes 1950s charm with modern practicality. Featuring a taller screen and chrome engine bars reminiscent of its predecessors, the bike boasts a tasseled, studded solo seat and matching saddlebags, combining classic aesthetics with contemporary functionality.

Powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 114ci V-twin engine, the Revival maintains performance parity with the standard Heritage Classic. Enhancements are available through Screamin' Eagle upgrades for those seeking additional power.

Utilizing a conventional Softail chassis and suspension, the Hydra-Glide Revival retains the Heritage Classic's dimensions with minor alterations for heightened comfort and style. Weighing in at 742 pounds fully equipped, the Revival offers a distinctive riding experience that honors Harley-Davidson's illustrious heritage.

With the success of its predecessors, the 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival is poised to capture the hearts of enthusiasts worldwide, affirming Harley-Davidson's enduring legacy in the motorcycle industry.
