Harley-Davidson Unveils New Enthusiast Collection Inspired by Community Stories
Milwaukee, WI (June 21, 2022) - Harley-Davidson has announced the launch of its latest venture, the Enthusiast Collection, a series of motorcycles paying homage to the rich tapestry of narratives and experiences within the Harley-Davidson community. This ongoing collection will feature special-edition paint schemes crafted to honor the diverse backgrounds and passions of riders who embody the spirit of Harley-Davidson.
Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President, and CEO of Harley-Davidson, expressed the company's pride in launching this initiative, stating, "The Enthusiast Collection motorcycles are inspired by Harley-Davidson riders and their unique stories." Zeitz highlighted the inaugural release, the G.I. Enthusiast Collection, which commemorates the legacy of Harley-Davidson riders who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
To mark the occasion, two distinguished U.S. veterans, Gary Wetzel and Brian "Amarok" Critton, will be honored with G.I. Enthusiast Collection models. Wetzel, a Medal of Honor recipient renowned for his bravery during the Vietnam War, and Critton, a former U.S. Army serviceman and advocate for veterans' causes, embody the ethos of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts through their remarkable deeds both on and off the road.
The 2022 Enthusiast Collection debuts with the G.I. Enthusiast Collection, characterized by its striking Mineral Green Denim Deluxe paint, a hue specially formulated for this series. Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Design, elucidated on the significance of this color, drawing inspiration from the iconic Olive Drab paint used on historic Harley-Davidson WLA models.
"The tank graphic pays homage to the white five-point star emblem, reminiscent of WWII military vehicles," Richards explained. "Additionally, the stencil design featuring the 'H-D' logo and Milwaukee, Wisconsin's abbreviation recalls the origins of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the iconic WLA model."
Among the featured models is the Pan America 1250 Special G.I., a robust adventure touring motorcycle powered by the V-Twin Revolution Max 1250 engine. Garnering acclaim since its debut, the Pan America 1250 Special has solidified its status as a top-selling adventure bike in North America.
Accompanying the Pan America is the Tri Glide Ultra G.I., a touring trike designed for long-haul comfort and performance. Equipped with premium features and the Twin Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, the Tri Glide Ultra G.I. offers riders a luxurious touring experience.
Both models in the Enthusiast Collection showcase the Mineral Green Denim Deluxe paint, adorned with distinctive graphics paying tribute to Harley-Davidson's heritage and the indomitable spirit of its riders.
The Pan America 1250 Special G.I. will be available with a U.S. MSRP of $20,799, while the Tri Glide Ultra G.I. is priced at $38,099.
Harley-Davidson enthusiasts and collectors alike can anticipate future releases from the Enthusiast Collection, each celebrating the diverse narratives and passions within the vibrant Harley-Davidson community.
