On August 29, a massive motorcycle convoy of over 150 Ft. Riley soldiers rolled through Topeka, heading to Historic Harley-Davidson. This “Bro Ride,” escorted by the City of Topeka Motorcycle Division, gave the servicemembers a chance to bond and promote motorcycle safety.
Staff Sgt. Jonathan Bonet from the 299th Brigade Support Battalion shared, “It’s a beautiful day to ride with my military family, enjoy the ride, and promote safe motorcycling.”
Historic Harley-Davidson Owner Mike Patterson joined the ride, saying, “It was an honor to welcome these heroes. It’s a proud moment for us, and having them here is a true appreciation of their service.”
Upon arrival, the soldiers enjoyed pizza, water, and a chance to explore the Harley-Davidson store and the Evel Knievel Museum, all on the house.
