Few motorcycle brands are as universally recognized as Harley-Davidson, and the same goes for GMC when it comes to pickup trucks. It's no surprise that fans of both brands often overlap, with some GMC owners likely finding time to ride an American-made Harley-Davidson.
This connection wasn’t missed by either company, leading to a collaboration in 2020 that resulted in a limited edition of pickup trucks featuring both iconic brands. The trucks in question were GMC’s Sierra 1500 series, which were transformed by Indiana's Tuscany Motor Company into 250 special editions. These trucks received lift kits, Harley-Davidson's signature orange, black, and white paint job, and numerous logos, including one on the wheel holding Fatboy-inspired tires.
Under the hood, the Sierra 1500s were equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. But for those seeking even more power, Texas-based Hennessey Performance upgraded one of these trucks to a staggering 700 horsepower.
The Harley-Davidson GMC Sierra 1500 is a rare beast, with only 250 units ever produced. Their scarcity drives up their value, with 2024 models fetching nearly $100,000.
Harley-Davidson's collaboration with truck makers isn’t new. Ford was the first to offer a Harley-Davidson upgrade for their F-150 back in 2000. However, these earlier models didn’t match the raw power of the 2020 Sierras, with their 5.4-liter V8s producing just 260 horsepower. The later F-250 models embraced a more rugged look similar to the GMC trucks and now boast impressive power as well, with some 2024 versions packing a 6.7L PowerStroke Turbo-Diesel V8 delivering 475 horsepower and 1,050 pounds of torque. Whether you’re a fan of Ford or GMC, there's a Harley-Davidson branded powerhouse out there for you.
