This entirely ordinary residence is packed with an abundance of rare Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, and the same goes for buildings. While some may catch your eye with unique paint or architectural flair, many blend into the background of your neighborhood, rarely garnering more than a passing glance. Yet hidden within these unassuming structures could lie unexpected treasures.

In the latest episode of Hagerty’s Barn Find Hunter, an ordinary house in Staten Island, New York, revealed an extraordinary secret. Home to a couple deeply passionate about motorcycles and cars, the residence became a sanctuary for over 40 historic bikes. Tragically, one half of the duo, Walter, recently passed away, leaving behind his devoted wife and their remarkable collection. Walter's ashes now rest inside an Indian fuel tank, a poignant tribute to his lifelong passion, proudly displayed in the living room as he wished.

Rob Ida, a childhood friend intimately familiar with the couple's shared enthusiasm, introduced Tom to Kathy, Walter's surviving spouse. Kathy offered a captivating tour of the eclectic collection, highlighting their mutual love for these mechanical marvels.

The assortment is diverse, ranging from iconic Harley-Davidsons and Indians to a striking Vincent Black Shadow gracing the living room. Alongside these two-wheeled treasures sit vintage cars like a 1959 Cadillac and a 1951 LS-swapped Mercury coupe.

Noteworthy among the bikes are a 1911 Harley-Davidson LAPD bike with a leather belt drive, a 1926 Harley board tracker, and a rare 1910 Harley. Among the Indian motorcycles is one cherished by Walter, vowed by Kathy to remain in their possession. The collection also boasts an XR1000, Super Glides, and a Silent Grey Fellow, among others.

While the garage houses additional bikes, the collection spills into every corner of the home, creating a unique ambiance where humans coexist harmoniously with their mechanical companions. From the dining room to the basement, bikes permeate every facet of their lives—a testament to their unwavering motolove.
